BU10 Swallows Cup

Lightning Boys U10 win the Swallows Cup in Orange County.

After winning their bracket and beating Newport Mesa 3-0 in the semi final, the Lightning U10 boys won the Sallow’s Cup on penalties after a hard fought 2-2 final against the Chula Vista Pumas that also went into the final undefeated. After going 1-0 down in the first five minutes, the boys showed tremendous fortitude by responding with an individual goal by Max and a 35 yard top class power shot from the left foot of Mateja. The thrilling game was decided on penalties with the winning kick being taken by Roen after two great penalty saves from Eric.
