Carlsbad Cup 2013 coming soon!

Carlsbad Lightning Soccer Club is proud to host the 7th Annual Carlsbad Cup, a Class I Competitive Soccer Tournament for ages U8 to U19.  More than 285 teams attended last year's event and we anticipate a similar field again this year. 

July 27-29 - U15-U18/19 $675
Aug 3-5 - U8-U10 $595 | U11-U14 $650

Summer Recreational Camps - REGISTRATION NOW OPEN!!

This camp is designed for all recreational players to work on their technical ability in a fun atmosphere. Players will go over the mechanics of individual skills, opposition (attack/defend), then work the skills into small-sided game situations.

*Each camper will receive a Lightning T-Shirt*

Sessions will be conducted by the Directors & professional coaches from within CLSC.

In association with IYSA, Carlsbad Elite is proud to offer a top level college ID camp for elite college prospects. This camp will provide exposure to some of the finest college programs on the west coast. Carlsbad Elite is committed to delivering a unique experience that balances high end training by college coaches and a platform to showcase your abilities to most colleges on the west coast. This unique event will allow the prospect to grow and develop under the supervision and observation of elite college coaches in a highly competitive environment. Prospects will be assessed by college coaches running sessions as well as coaches visiting for assessment.

Carlsbad GU15 Elite qualify in 1st place for FWRL finals in Hawaii

Carlsbad Elite GU15s claimed their place in the Regional finals that will be held in Hawaii this June. Carlsbad Elite (2012 Cal South National State Cup Champions and Region IV semi-finalists) were one of four teams who qualified for the final four weekend through pool play over the past two months.

Carlsbad's Coach Michael Duggan said, "To come into this weekend against these three teams was a honor. You always want to play against the best teams possible and they don't come any bigger or better than these three, but I have to admit our girls were special this weekend, they showed great composure and played fantastic soccer. I could not have asked for anymore from each and everyone of them, they deserve the right to be on that plane to Hawaii. I am very proud of them all".

Elite's Rey Ortiz awarded Cal South Player of the Year 2013

Carlsbad Elite's very own Rey Ortiz has been awarded with the Cal South Sports Authority Player of the Year award for 2013. Congratulations Rey, massive achievement!

CLSC unveil new 'UNITED' shield & club branding

In an attempt to promote club unity and create a stronger link between all three of their respective programs: Recreation, Competitive, and Elite, Carlsbad Lightning Soccer Club are extremely pleased to release the new 'UNITED' shield.

With the replacement of the old Recreational logo, Competitive shield, and Elite shield, CLSC have combined symbolic elements from each program into the new 'UNITED' shield that will represent the club everywhere, both on and off the field. The shield will also be accompanied by the new 'Carlsbad' script logo which, again, will represent all three Lightning programs right across the board, with the addition of a 'crown' on the Elite script in recognition of playing at the highest level for the club.
